The ideas keep flowing, no matter what I do. I am a consummate translator. In my career I’ve always had the gift of being able to translate the technical into the functional and vice versa. I love talking to people and gain inspiration from doing so. Having had experience in several industries helps me to “think outside the box” and create excellent solutions for the challenge at hand.
After graduating from Carthage College with a triple major and Cum Laude, I went into a career in advertising and marketing. After creating successful marketing campaigns and branding for a few small companies, I’d worked myself out of a job a couple of times. It was then I did some soul-searching and delved into recruiting where I focused on professional and technical staffing. I then transitioned in IT recruitment, and from there into supporting various VMS programs.
I am very involved in my church and for the first time in my life, I’m a Sunday School teacher. I find it very rewarding to interact with the kids and see them understand a concept for the first time and become excited about it. I also find this industry very rewarding. Helping people find jobs is a reward unto itself.
I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. We almost always pursue creative endeavors, whether it’s a craft project found on Pinterest, making another scrapbook, or just playing outside, we have lots of fun. I’m also quite the SciFi geek and keep up on new movies, series, or books whenever I can.
