“Successful people are those who search for the circumstances they want. If they can’t find them, they will create them.”
‐ George Buckley ‐ 3M
There is nothing more rewarding than helping others because I know that at the end of the day, I have helped a friend secure a new career path, helped a client build a stronger team or helped two people start a new business relationship.
I have always felt the need to go above and beyond when it comes to helping others. I am an optimist and enjoy putting a smile on a face. With a contagious enthusiasm for learning about new industries, meeting new people and networking, I see no strangers in the room, only friends I have yet to meet.
My international travels while working many years at the Tarsus Group have challenged me to learn from the world about how business is conducted and how ideas can improve the world. Albert Einstein said it best, “once you stop learning, you start dying”. After working at the Tarsus Group, I spent some time working for the Milwaukee Business Journal before starting my career in the staffing industry and eventually coming to elite.
My time in the staffing industry has made me realize how much I enjoy helping out family, friends and new business contacts. To me staffing is a great way to hit all those marks. Making a positive impact in someone’s life is truly rewarding.
My greatest accomplishments are my two beautiful children. My son Christian, who is a dedicated student at a local Tae Kwon Do institution, has shown me how important it is to have integrity, to persevere and have an indomitable spirit. Always put your heart and soul into everything you do.
My daughter Lauren, who has a gift of creativity, has helped me appreciate all the beauty in our world. Seeing things through a child’s eye helps one realize that each day is a perfectly and new opportunity to make a difference and contribute to society.
I am ecstatic about this city and love the people and attractions. With two children who keep me very busy, I volunteer whenever I get an opportunity and always support local non-profits like Goodwill Industries and Local Food pantries. I have also volunteered my time to great organizations like the Hunger Task Force and local nursing homes.
When I am not doing those things, you will find me donating my time and supporting my church or volunteering at my daughter’s Girl Scouts or my son’s Tae Kwon Do classes. I enjoy spending time with children and love to support organizations that give back.
In a world of tablets and on-demand television and music, we forget how fortunate we are to be able to travel within our borders to see the oceans or a canyon or a beautiful national park. Which is why I love to travel with my children. To be able to explore an exciting new place that may be new for all of us. It is extremely heartwarming to have a “first experience” with a child.
On a previous visit to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, we saw a stingray and a shark being fished out of the shores of the Atlantic Ocean. My hope is that my children will always have the same enthusiasm to learn and explore in whatever career path they choose.
“The greatest danger for most of us is not that our aim is too high and we miss it, but that it is too low and we reach it.”
