I am a strong believer in building solid relationships through the quality service that you provide to the client. As a recruiter your number one objective is to provide superior service to the hiring managers that you are working with because they are counting on you to fill a need they have that is affecting their business. If you are able to provide quality candidates that match their expectations in a timely manner, you will be viewed as someone that can be counted on and trusted. Loyalty, honesty, trust and good service have always been my focus when it comes to recruiting.
After graduating from college, I was given the opportunity to work for a smaller staffing firm. At that time everyone was just starting to get into online recruiting (yes I know I am dating myself). I worked for this smaller staffing firm for 6+ years before making the decision to move on to working directly for a company as a Corporate Recruiter. I worked for Rockwell Automation for 2+ years and then decided to return to the staffing world with the hope to find that smaller, tight knit family feel, while still working with major clients. After a tough 2008-2009 economy, I made the decision to work for another former boss and then eventually found my permanent home with Elite. I’ve been with Elite for 4 years (still working with someone from the staffing firm days) and have come full circle back to a smaller, tight knit family feel company that allows me the opportunity to work with larger clients. I truly believe that the relationships I’ve had through my career and the opportunities I’ve been given have made me the recruiter I am today. I am grateful and I wouldn’t change a thing that I have done in my past.
I take pride in the fact that I have been able to teach myself how to do wood working over the last several years. With really no training or schooling in wood working I have been able to create planter boxes, bag toss sets for family members, DVD rack, TV stand, a full size octagonal picnic table and even a full sized bar.
My wife and I donate to Goodwill multiple times a year. During the holidays we try to participate in a couple of different programs that provide families gifts during Christmas.
During the summer I enjoy playing softball a couple of times a week, hanging out with family and friends. I have a love/hate relationship with golf and enjoy grilling and working on our house. Family is very important to me, so we spend a lot of time with both sides of the family. During the winter I dabble in wood working, which is really more a hobby than anything, and just count the days until it’s nice outside again. I try to stay active with both exercise and sports.
