I didn’t come into this industry to prove to myself how successful I could be; I came to help others be fulfilled though their own careers. For me, recruiting is not simply the placement but resume building, coaching, and creating relationships to facilitate an ideal candidate and customer experience. Forming partnerships with candidates and customers comes natural for me.
Before I joined the elite family, I was an admissions advisor for a local university and a full cycle recruiter, servicing numerous companies in the Milwaukee and surrounding area. However, what had the great impact on my career path is an experience that all started with a mouse! I completed two Walt Disney World internships, which launched current park services and continued a career with Disney for a total of 3 years until I decided to return to Wisconsin. The experience provided life-long friends in several states, confidence for personal growth, and essentially molded who I have become.
Professional milestones that I am proud to have accomplished so far would include earning my Master’s Degree in Academic Advising via Kansas State University while working full time and finding success in staffing both Commercial and Professional Technical markets. Outside of work, things I am personally proud of include the long distance friendships that I have retained over 10+ years, sky diving (which is likely a solo occurrence), and serving as the photography editor of my college paper.
I grew up with the example of my father that you don’t always need to join an official organization to give back but simply take care of those around you. If someone is having a hard time, lunch may be on me in exchange for their presence. I have also been involved in organized activities with the American Lung Association and American Cancer Society due to causes that impacted my family. I continue to support Camp Phillip (a WELS summer camp in Wautoma, WI) and other organizations personal to me, and even go through the ‘trouble’ of supporting the Girl Scouts with my yearly cookie order.
When I am not looking for the next top candidate, you can typically find me at the movie theater eating cheese curds, watching The Big Bang Theory at home with my husband and dog, discussing the latest on Veronica Mars, or traveling to visit my Disney or biological family across the country! Other ‘loves’ include college basketball (specifically KU and WI), art (especially photography), coffee (with my sugar and French vanilla creamer), and Disney (all associations which include but are not limited to: Pixar, The Muppets, Star Wars, and so on…)
